SCHOOL TOURS

Correlated with the Ontario Science and Technology curriculum, fall Apple Tours or Pumpkin Tours are offered for JK to Grade 2 students, as well as co-ops, nursery schools, and daycares. All of our programs can be modified to meet age specific groups.

TIME AND COST

Tours are 90 minutes in duration with the first one beginning at 9am and the  last one starting at 1:30pm.  Cost is $7.00 (includes hst) per child.  Teachers, Organizers, and parent chaperones are free of charge.  Minimum group charge is for 20 children. 

 

Lunch time tours starting as early as 11:15 and lasting 120 minutes in duration.  Cost is $7.50 (includes hst) per child.  Food is not provided - children must bring a brown bag lunch.  Teachers, Organizers, and parent chaperones are free of charge.  Minimum group charge is for 20 children. 

Teachers and Organizers  - please plan for a timely arrival.

With all tours a nutritious snack is provided.  It includes pasteurized apple cider and a "guaranteed peanut-free" cookie.  All tours end with a colouring hand-out for children to take home.

Apple tours run mid-September through October, while Pumpkin tours are throughout the month of October, all dependant on crop readiness.  (Check back for exact starting date).

In the event of rain, most of our program can be run under cover. Preferred payment is cheque -  due at tour time (please make cheques out to Bert Hekman); alternatively you can request an invoice for your school board.
